The much-anticipated implementation of SHELEADS II project has officially begun, marking a significant step forward in enhancing the socio-economic and psychosocial wellbeing of refugee women in the Bethlehem Governorate. This initiative aims to empower women in marginalized communities, equipping them with the tools to lead transformative change in their personal lives and wider society. Building on the success of the first phase, SHELEADS II focuses on three core areas: entrepreneurship, personal development, and community engagement. By offering refugee women training in business management, leadership skills, and mental health support, the project aims to create sustainable pathways for personal growth and economic independence. The overall objective of the project is to enable women to become active leaders within their communities, fostering long-term social and economic transformation. Key components of the program include capacity-building workshops, access to resources for small business development, and support networks for mental health and well-being.Through SHELEADS II, organizers hope to see a ripple effect of empowerment across refugee communities, driving social cohesion, improved livelihoods, and stronger leadership roles for women. This initiative is set to positively impact hundreds of women, helping them to shape their futures while contributing to the overall development of the Bethlehem Governorate.
