Jomana Shakarneh, founder of Jomana Accessories, began her journey as though she were standing before a necklace waiting to be adorned with colorful stones. Her dream was ambitious, and her passion for growth shone as brightly as the vibrant hues of those carefully arranged pieces. Yet, at the beginning, she felt uncertain—facing the unknown and navigating the many aspects of managing and developing her business that were still unfamiliar to her. She did not know where to start, nor how to select each element to create a cohesive and radiant final piece.
In the early stages, every task presented a challenge: organizing products in an appealing way, improving her photography skills, learning how to design posts and videos, and maintaining a consistent presence on social media. Each experience was like a new gemstone added to her necklace. With every attempt, she learned how to harmonize the colors of her project and make them shine with greater brilliance.
Through the Women’s Empowerment Project implemented by Ibtikar Foundation, Jomana received specialized training and mentorship from Asala and Qusai. Their guidance played a key role in strengthening her skills in digital marketing, managing her social media platforms, and creating creative content that reflects her brand identity. She learned how to plan her content strategically, present her products in an engaging way that attracts her target audience, and ensure that her business reflects both her passion and dedication. With every training session and mentoring meeting, she felt her necklace becoming stronger and more refined, with each new skill adding a distinct shine to her work.
Over time, Jomana began to see her efforts take shape, as each colorful stone contributed its own brilliance to the growing necklace. Every achievement, every step forward, and every message of appreciation from her followers felt like a precious gem—adding pride and joy to her journey. Her confidence grew steadily, and she became more capable of managing her pages professionally, organizing her content, and communicating effectively with customers.
